India today said it was willing to look into all kinds of pacts, including an economic cooperation agreement, for strengthening its relationship with China. | |
| "There is a feeling that China is gradually tuning itself into a market economy. Even in the present scenario there is scope for good cooperation in areas like gas, agriculture and textiles," Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath said on the sidelines of a seminar on WTO here. |

| Asked if a Free Trade Agreement with China was a possibility, Nath said, " Why just an FTA? An FTA is only limited to trade in goods, we could have an economic cooperation agreement." |

| Earlier, at a Ficci seminar, Commerce Secretary S N Menon said the government would consider launching Focus-China, an export initiative programme to boost India's exports to the country. |
