The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) central leadership is taking every possible measure to end factionalism in the troubled party unit in Karnataka.
The BJP had appointed senior leader Arun Jaitley to oversee the affairs of the state. Party President Nitin Gadkari is expected to meet to state leaders and MLAs in Bangalore on December 7 to end the differences among leaders of the state BJP unit.
The party has also entrusted Dharmendra Pradhan, the general secretary of BJP, to meet leaders of the state unit and try to find a solution to the crisis.
BJP insiders said Pradhan had played an important during the Bihar elections and played an important role to solve differences in the party over distribution of tickets.
Senior party leaders said Gadkari will not only try and unite the warring factions, but would “clip the wings of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa”.
