Cartoonist have found in demonetisation a good subject to exercise their creativity, and it's giving pained Indians the much-needed comic relief

Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to television on November 8 to announce that old currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 will cease to be legal tender, commentators have dissected and commented upon every decision or change in rules that have been announced. While newspapers and TV news channels report about long queues outside banks and ATMs from all over India, cartoonists have been busy, too.

Cartoonists have done what they are best at -- getting to the bottom of an issue with a dash of humour. Whether its the change in rules, or the long queues or the often-strange statements from leaders, nothing has escaped their attention.
