Dorabji played key role to shape Tata Steel

Tata Steel Managing Director B Muthuraman today hailed Dorabji Jamsetji Tata, the first chairman of Tata Steel, was not only a dreamer but played a major role in giving a shape and substance to the township of Jamshedpur and steel plant here.

Paying a floral tribute to the great visionary on his 158th birth anniversary at Dorabji park in front of Keenan stadium here.

Muthuraman said dorabji was the longest serving charman of the company and played an important role in giving shape and substance to National Institute of Science, Tata hydro-electric project, steel plant and the township of Jamshedpur.
