Fernandes Offers To Quit Party Post
In a last-ditch attempt to avoid split in the Samata Party, Defence Minister George Fernandes is believed to have conveyed his wishes to step down as the party president to pacify Railway Minister Nitish Kumar and to arrest his own marginalisation in the Bihar politics.
