As a member of the Hall of Fame, Rao joins over 40 past space scientists such as Arthur C Clarke, James Van Allen, William Pritchard, Harold Rosen.
Fredric d’Allest, Takayashi Yoshida, Peter Jackson and Olof Lundberg.
The induction of Rao into the Satellite Hall of Fame was scheduled to take place on Tuesday at a gala function in Washington, DC.
