FPSB India nominates Justice Srikrishna as chairman of the Board

He takes over from Dhirendra Swarup, former chairman of PFRDA

Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB) India, the professional body for financial planners, today nominated Justice (Retd.) B N Srikrishna, as the chairman of the Board of FPSB India for 2014-2015. He takes over from Dhirendra Swarup, former chairman of Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA).

Justice Srikrishna is an eminent Indian jurist and a former Judge of the Supreme Court. Till recently, he served as the Chairman of Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission (FSLRC) established by Ministry of Finance in March 2011. He has also served as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Kerala. He was also the Chairman of the Sixth Central Pay Commission.

After his nomination Justice Srikrishna said, "The present times call for a more consumer centric approach in all domains of financial services sector and the convergence of regulations in the coming times would only further the well-being of financial consumers."
