Gandhi family worker behind attacks on Kejriwal, says IAC

IAC today released pictures of Jagdish Kumar,, who had allegedly disrupted Kejriwal's press conference, with the Gandhi family

India Against Corruption has alleged that the man, who disrupted a meeting addressed by Arvind Kejriwal, was none other than a worker or faithful aide of the Gandhi family.

The man, who IAC identified as Jagdish Kumar, had disrupted Arvind Kejriwal's press conference on October 31 as the anti-corruption activist made revelations and charges against Reliance Industries and its alleged nexus with various political parties including the Congress.

The IAC today released several pictures of Jagdish Kumar. The pictures, about eight of them, show Kumar with the Gandhi family. Many of the pictures show him accompanying Robert Vadra.

"Has the Nehru-Gandhi family descended to Salman Khurshid's level where they would send goons to disrupt our meeting?" asked IAC in a statement released with the pictures.

"In such circumstances, any attack on IAC activists would have to be presumed to be at the behest of Congress unless the contrary is proved," IAC said.

Arvind Kejriwal's rally in Farukkabad also was targeted by Congress workers in Uttar Pradesh and IAC activists were stoned and beaten up by assailants.

Earlier speaking at Farukkabad yesterday, Arvind Kejriwal urged people to field a physically challenged person against Union Minister Salman Khurshid and ensure that Khurshid is defeated in the next Lok Sabha election from the constituency. This would be a befitting reply to Khurshid’s Trust siphoning off money in the name of physically challenged people, he said.

IAC said that about 20,000 people had gathered to listen to Arvind Kejriwal and his colleagues.

The gathering included physically challenged people from seven districts, namely Farukhabad, Kannauj, Mainpuri, Itawah, Bareili, Allahabad and Gautam Buddh Nagar. Supporters and volunteers of the movement had also converged from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
