Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda today  said that a Foreign Investment  and  Non-resident Indian (NRI) Cell has been created for addressing the problems faced by NRIs and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) relating to property, marital discord and law  and order and to provide guidance and advisory services for attracting foreign investment to the State.

The Chief Minister, who was speaking at the plenary session  of the 12th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas  in  New Delhi,urged the NRIs to become partner  in the  growth model of Haryana, which is robust, sustainable and inclusive.

While saying that the state government has accorded special facilitation for NRIs through policy and institutional mechanism, Mr Hooda said that  Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) is the nodal agency for development of industrial infrastructure in the State. It has developed Industrial Estates with state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities throughout the State. Upto 10% of industrial plots are reserved in each Industrial Estate for allotment to Non-Resident Indians and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and for units with 33% or more FDI in total investment. He urged them to avail of this window and set-up their ventures in dynamic State of Haryana.
