Anna Hazare has no fever and his blood pressure is normal, his close aide Suresh Pathare said after doctors examined the activist, who began his fast here for a "strong" Lok Pal Bill.

"Anna Hazare medical update: BP (blood pressure) 140/86, pulse: 84, no fever," Pathare tweeted.

There were concerns about 74-year-old Hazare's health as he was suffering from viral infection.

Even his close aides Arvind Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi appealed to Hazare to stop his fast and continue with a dharna as there were concerns about his health.

"Anna is unwell. Will you request Anna to withdraw his fast?" Bedi asked the crowd, which responded with a loud "Yes".

However, Hazare, looking quiet under the weather, waved his hand in a gesture of "No".
