The Delhi High Court today declined to stay the process of spectrum allocation to companies who have applied under crossover technology as demanded by the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) "" a lobby of GSM mobile service providers.

The court, however, agreed to advance the date of hearing and listed the matter for January 21 instead of the earlier scheduled date of January 31.

The court also issued notices to the Centre, Reliance Communications (RCom), Tata Teleservices and others on the plea of the COAI to stay the allocation.

Under crossover technology CDMA companies like RCom and Tata Teleservices can now also offer GSM services under the same licence.
