China today said it was discussing with India the matter of issuance of stapled visas to residents of Jammu and Kashmir.

"It is being discussed between the two countries," Zhang Yan, Chinese Ambassador to India said when asked whether the issue of stapled visas would come up for discussions during Premier Wen Jiabao's visit from Wednesday.

India has strongly protested Chinese policy of issuing stapled visas to those hailing from J&K, saying it amounts to questioning the territorial integrity and sovereignty of India.
