Former Union minister Jagannath Mishra yesterday hit out at Bihar Congress president Sarfaraz Ahmed for holding the erstwhile Congress governments of the state responsible and accountable for the multi-crore fodder scam.
Ahmed is playing into the hands of Bihar Chief Minister Laloo Prasad who is trying to deflect public attention from himself for his invlovement in the fraud, he said.
Ahmed had on Sunday accused the previous Congress governments for having failed to curb excess and clandestine withdrawals by the states animal husbandry department.
The former chief ministers, Jagannath Mishra and late Bindeshwari Dubey, cannot escape the responsibility for having contributed to some extent to the Rs 950 crore fodder scam, Ahmed had said. Mishra said he was dismayed over Ahmeds utterances.
