West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today ruled out withdrawal of joint forces from the Naxalite-affected 'junglemahal' region. "Every day Trinamool Congress is clamouring for halting anti-Naxalite operations. They want Naxalites to kill us and clear ground for them. We will not allow it. The people of West Midnapore district will counter the Trinamool and the Naxalites,” he said.

Naxalites are even killing schools teachers in West Midnapore district, Bhattacharjee told a women's rally here. On Wednesday, Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee demanded for withdrawal of joint forces, whom she alleged were assisting CPI-M’s armed cadre in committing ‘mass murder’ in villages in West Midnapore and also demanded a CBI inquiry.

On Banerjee's visit to Darjeeling last week where she was given a warm welcome by Gorkha Janmukti Morcha, he thundered, “Why did she go to the Hills? They (GJM) want to break the unity between the plains and Hills.”

Describing Trinamool as a ‘one-woman’ party, he said, “Whatever she says is the policy of the party. All others sit at her feet and can’t say anything. “What kind of force (TC) is this? They don't obey the law and Constitution and suppress people by force. Shall we accept this? Time has come to make it clear that we will not allow them to do whatever they like. “We have to strengthen ourselves. If everybody stands up and says that they will not tolerate this unruly party, then they can be alienated. Some people have realised this, but not all.”
