Ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is reportedly "ailing and bedridden" and cannot walk without help, local media reports confirming that the toppled leader was still in a holiday villa in the Red Sea resort of Sharm al-Sheikh.
Egyptian daily 'Al-Masry Al-Youm' reported that soon after moving to the resort, the 82-year-old Mubarak who ruled Egypt for 30 years was gravely ill and slipped into a coma.
But an pro-government newspaper denied the report but said the leader was in severe psychological condition and was declining treatment.
Mubarak is staying at a villa in the grounds of the Maritim Jollie Ville Hotel, owned by one of the Egypt's leading businessman, Hussein Sale, who is a close member of the ex-president's inner circle.First Published: Feb 15 2011 | 4:15 PM IST
