Central Paramilitary forces would be deployed for the May 13 Lok Sabha polls in around 150 polling booths in Chennai which have been declared sensitive, a top police official said here today.

Speaking to reporters after inspecting the booths, police commissioner K Radhakrishnan said this would provide additional security during the elections.

Official sources had recently stated that 10 per cent of the 53,000 polling booths in the state are sensitive and would be given a three-fold security cover.
