PM and judiciary to come under Lok Pal: Kejriwal

The joint committee that is preparing the draft Lok Pal Bill, expected to be tabled in Parliament in the coming monsoon session, has agreed to make three major changes to it form — bring the prime minister and the judiciary under the purview of the Bill, include big and small cases of corruption under the purview of the Bill and also provide power to the bill to prosecute public servants who fail to do their duty. In a press conference held in IIM Bangalore today, member of the Lok Pal bill joint draft committee and civil society activist Arvind Kejriwal briefed the media on the progress made in the last two consultation meetings held by committee.
