Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived at the cricket stadium here for witnessing the Indo-Pak World Cup semi final match and for talks with his Pakistani counterpart Yousuf Raza Gilani.
Accompanied by Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi, Singh drove to the stadium from the Chandigarh airport shortly on his arrival from Delhi.
The dignitaries were received at the stadium by ICC President and Union Minister Sharad Pawar, Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Punjab Cricket Association chief I S Bindra and BCCI chief Shashank Manohar.
