Total earnings of Railways during FY12 stand at Rs 1,04,279 cr as compared to Rs 94,671 cr during last fiscal

The total earnings of Indian Railways during the financial year 2011-12 were Rs 104,278.79 crore compared to Rs 94,670.76 crore during fiscal 2010-11, registering an increase of 10.15%.
The goods earnings have gone up from Rs 62,940.81 crore during 2010-11 to Rs 69,675.97 crore during financial year 2011-12, an increase of 10.70%.
The total passenger earnings during the last fiscal were Rs 28,645.52 crore compared to Rs 26,006.77 crore during the fiscal 2010-11, recording a growth of 10.15%.
The revenue earnings from other coaching amounted to Rs. 2825.16 crore during financial year 2011-12 compared to Rs. 2522.81 crore during the financial year 2010-11, registering an increase of 11.98%.
The total number of passengers booked during 2011-12 was 8,306.16 million compared to 7,888.91 million during the same period last year, showing an increase of 5.29%.
