Consequent upon signing of the MoU, a state level task force for Urban Cooperative Banks (TAFCUB) will be constituted in Himachal Pradesh with J Sadakkadulla, Regional Director for Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh, Reserve Bank of India as Chairman of the TAFCUB and T D Negi, Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Himachal Pradesh as its Co-Chairman, a representative of RBI, UBD, Central Office and a representative each from State and National Federation of Urban Co-opperative Banks and Regional Office of RBI.
The Joint Forum, will discuss issues relating to the revival of weak Urban banks, as well as impart professionalism in the management of these banks. Himachal Pradesh becomes the 19th state in the country to sign such a MoU with RBI.
