Rupee strengthens. Currently trading at Rs 58/dollar

The rupee today lost its losing streak, continuing for last 5 sessions

Rupee continued its strengthening against the dollar today and touched Rs 58 level per dollar at 12.45 pm today. Tuesday, it had closed at Rs 58.39 against the dollar.

The rupee has lost is losing streak today after five trading sessions and continues to remain strong since its opening on the exchange today.

On Tuesday, it had touched almost levels of Rs 59 per dollar when Reserve Bank of India intervened through public sector banks and brought back the rupee from psychological level of Rs 59 against apprehensions of some experts that it might soon breach Rs 60 mark.
