After its launch in Maharashtra, the company launched the American Tourister range of baggage in Gujarat on Monday.
The Rs 400 crore baggage industry is largely dominated by the popular segment, which accounts for about Rs 225 crore of the total market.
Bags are priced between Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,500 in this segment, while the premium baggage segment comprises bags and suitcases priced above Rs 2,500 and has a Rs 90 crore share of the total baggage market. The economy segment retains remaining share.
