Health Minister B Sreeramulu, a mining magnate in the state, today said he has sought Z-plus security cover in the wake of “threats” to his life from naxalites.
Talking to reporters, Sreeramulu said he had been receiving life threats from naxals from Andhra Pradesh. On several occasions he had received threats over phone, the minister said.
Meanwhile Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa told reporters in Bangalore he has received the request for enhanced security from Sreeramulu and it was being considered. However, Home Minister R Ashoka said he was not aware of the request by Sreeramulu for Z-plus security cover.
