The Orissa government is upbeat on the Posco project amidst exit of some company employees, mostly in the middle cadre, in the recent months.
"I had discussions with the Posco authorities on the issue and it is purely the company's internal matter which will have no bearing on the 12 million tonne per annum mega steel project in Orissa. Some employees of the company have voluntarily quit and Posco India is also going for fresh recruitment”, state steel & mines and industries minister Raghunath Mohanty told media persons here.
He also clarified that the Karnataka steel project of Posco had nothing to do with the Orissa project as both were separate projects of the company.
