Defying the Supreme Court's directive asking them to resume duties, striking medicos in Rajasthan today decided to hold a rally as part of their anti-quota stir even as the teaching staff of the state's medical college went on mass leave.

The entire staff of the SMS Medical College and Hospital went on leave to protest the proposed 27 per cent reservation for OBCs in elite educational institutions, said a spokesman for the medicos.

"We will press the government to review its decision," the spokesman said.

The teaching staff of the college has threatened to go on hunger strike in support of the medicos.
