The Telecom Disputes Services and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has issued notice to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) over the latter’s recent regulation reducing mobile termination charges to 20 paise per minute.
Admitting a petition filed by the Association of Unified Telecom Service Providers of India (AUSPI) challenging the March 9 regulation of the Trai, the TDSAT issued notice to the regulator and directed it to file reply by April 24.
During the proceedings, the counsel appearing for the GSM lobby group COAI also submitted that the body would also challenge Trai’s March 9 regulation.
