Winners of 3G auction will have to submit bid price by May 31

The winners of the auction of third-generation (3G) spectrum will have to submit their bid price by May 31 this year.

After making the payment, the successful bidders might apply separately to the Wireless Planning and Coordination wing of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for the Letter of Intent (LoI) for the allocation of identified frequencies, an official statement said.

The provisional results of the 3G spectrum auction was also approved by the government today, the statement added. The auction for broadband wireless access spectrum will start on May 24.
