Udayakumar will contest the Kanyakumari seat in Tamil Nadu. He is the convenor of the People's Movement Against Nuclear Energy (PMANE), which has been spearheading agitation against the Kudankulam nuclear plant. Another PMANE leader, P S Jesuraj, has been given an AAP ticket from Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu. Udayakumar, while joining AAP in the beginning of this month, had said he would take the anti-nuclear agitation to the next level.
The list had eight candidates from Tamil Nadu, six from Bihar, four from Uttar Pradesh, one each from Manipur, Mizoram, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura and Maharashtra. With this, AAP, which looks to fight 350 Lok Sabha seats, has announced 268 candidates.
