BJP unit in MP files complaint against Sonia Gandhi

The state unit incharge Vijendra Singh Sisodia said, "It is a clear case of cybercrime and also a case of misleading voters on party of Mrs Gandhi, I have personally filed a complaint in Habibganj Police Station. They (police) have initiated inquiry and have taken my statement." Police sources said they will look into the matter and see if it was a violation of prevailing cyber laws.

The BJP had alleged in its complaint that Congress had "distorted" a statement made by Vajpayee on Gujarat riots. "The website," Sisodia said, "not only misled the voters but also has hurt sentiments of the BJP workers. Vajpayee had never said, Modi Ji Ne Rajdharma Ka Palan Nahi Kia (Modi has not followed duty of rulers)."

"We will launch a nationwide protest against it," Sisodia said, "Or Mrs Gandhi should apologise."

On the other hand, state unit of Congress criticized the move. "It is an effort to gain cheap popularity on the part of local unit of BJP," said J P Dhanopia, member of the local Congress legal cell.

Raising Modi's marriage issue Congress state unit spokesperson K K Mishra said, "Modi in his earlier affidavits filed for assembly elections had put a tick mark on unmarried option against marital status. Our senior lawyers are examining the papers and accordingly we will initiate a process so that election commission can take a legal action and cancel his present nomination for Lok Sabha elections.
