Congress in Goa today claimed that voters who have suffered in 'silence' under the BJP rule in the state will bring them victory in the two Lok Sabha seats, which go to polls on April 12.

"We are winning both seats hands down. There is a huge sympathy wave for the party and also an anti-incumbency against the (BJP) government," Goa Congress chief John Fernandes told PTI as the poll campaign comes to an end.

He said there are a large chunk of "silent" voters who are fed up with the two-year-old Manohar Parrikar-led BJP government in the state and want to vote against the party.

"These are the same voters which had voted against Congress in the 2012 state Assembly elections," he said.

Also, within BJP, Fernandes said, there is strong dissidence which will in turn favour Congress.

Congress has fielded Ravi Naik in North and Aleixo Lourenco Reginaldo in South Goa, while NCP has extended its support for both the candidates.
