 "Inquiry commission shows Cong's leaders frustration: Om Prakash Mathur")
Senior BJP leader and election in-charge of party affairs in Rajasthan Om Prakash Mathur today hit out at Congress and said the rival party's decision to appoint an inquiry commission to probe the snoopgate issue betrayed the "frustration" among its leaders.
Mathur said that Congress has lost its self-control and was taking such steps in frustration.
"Statements of the woman and her family members are already there and it is clear that no such incident took place. So, why the Congress took this decision? It shows that they (Congress leaders) are frustrated," he said.
The case involves snooping of a woman by the Gujarat authorities allegedly at the behest of the state Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
The commission to probe 'snoopgate' allegedly involving Modi will be in place before the Lok Sabha poll process comes to an end on May 16, the UPA government asserted yesterday rejecting questions raised by the BJP over it.
Exuding confidence in his party he claimed BJP would get 230 seats and the NDA 280 in the Lok Sabha elections.
On a question whether Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje may be entrusted with some responsibility in the Centre after the formation of NDA government, he said that it was hypothetical to talk about it now but any decision will be taken up by the party high-command.
"Raje came back to power with a thumping majority in the state and she has to do a lot of work for the people of Rajasthan. Any decision with regard to any other responsibility will be taken by the party command," he said.
