The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today alleged that Union Minister Kapil Sibal has been distributing water purifiers in Chandni Chowk constituency ahead of the Lok Sabha polls and the party will approach the Election Commission over the issue.

Addressing a press conference, senior party leader Sanjay Singh said the Union Law Minister had violated the election code of conduct.

"Sibal has been distributing water purifiers in the area with a tag line 'Aap Ka Sibal' with his photo and Congress symbol on it. We will approach the Election Commission over the issue. He is trying to mislead the voters," Singh said.

He said that the party will soon approach the Election Commission and bring it to their notice.

Kapil Sibal is a two-time MP from the Chandni Chowk. AAP has fielded journalist-turned politician Ashutosh from the constituency and he has already started campaigning.

Singh also alleged that Madhya PCC President Arun Yadav was caught distributing money and the party will also approach the poll body against him.

Yadav, also represents Khandwa constituency in the state and AAP has fielded veteran Narmada Bachao Andolan leader Alok Agarwal from the constituency.
