Polling in Telangana comprising 119 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha seats will be held on April 30. The last date for filing of nominations is April 9.
Following a fortnight-long discussions with BJP on pre-poll alliance, the TDP had conceded 8 Lok Sabha and 47 Assembly seats in Telangana and 5 Lok Sabha and 15 Assembly seats in Seemandhra ( coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema) to the saffron party. Elections in Seemandhra, which has 175 Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats, will be held on May 7.
Releasing the list of candidates on Monday, TDP president, N Chandrababu Naidu, said that his party had forged an alliance with the BJP keeping in view the interests of the nation.
