Federal Bank net profit up 98%

Federal Bank has registered 98.11 per cent increase in its Q3 net profit at Rs 203.89 crore against Rs 102.92 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year.

The net profit of the bank for the nine months ended December 2008 was Rs 386.32 crore, up by 45.68 per cent compared with Rs 265.19 crore clocked during the corresponding period last year. Total income for the nine-month period increased from Rs 2,068.37 crore to Rs 2,814.87 crore, an increase of 36.09 per cent.
