Sentiment: Bearish Gilt prices moved in a tight range keeping an eye on fresh issuances of bonds, which is slated for February 1-9.
The government is scheduled to raise Rs 6000 crore in 10- to 14-year bonds and Rs 3,000 crore in 20-year and above.
Call rates fell to 6.60-6.80 per cent today The RBI mopped up Rs 500 crore through its morning reverse repo auction and infused Rs 12,685 crore into the system at 6.50 per cent.
The RBI absorbed another Rs 1,950 crore through the second reverse repo auction even as it infused Rs 980 crore at 6.50 per cent. |
