IDFC has announced the appointment of Sandeep Gupta as the managing director of corporate finance division of IDFC Capital, said a release by the company.
Sandeep will report to Tapasije Mishra,CEO, IDFC Capital. He will look after financial services and financial sponsors.
Sandeep brings with him 18 years of experience in investment banking with a two-year stint in private equity at Actis.
There, he also played an instrumental role executing the $650-million Alliance Tire sale from Warburg to KKR, India’s 2nd largest leveraged buyout.
Sandeep also worked with Lehman Brothers as vice-president, covering financial sponsors. At Lehman he executed several large, landmark in the US. He holds an MBA from The Kellogg Graduate School of Management, US.
