Sbi To Expand Global Base

State Bank of India (SBI) is seeking to expand its global footprint by increasing presence in eight more countries, especially in the Middle-East and Africa. The bank plans to open 15 offices/branches in these areas by March-end 2005.
At present, SBI has 50 branches/offices spread across 28 countries.
