The Union Ministry of Tourism has sanctioned an amount of Rs 50 cr for the Nabakalebar Rath Yatra Festival in Odisha. Announcing this at a high level meeting of officials in Bhubaneswar today, the Union Minister of State for Tourism(Independent Charge), Culture (Independent Charge) and Civil Aviation, Dr Mahesh Sharma said the funds have been sanctioned under the newly launched scheme PRASAD of the Ministry of Tourism. The Union Petroleum Minister, Sh Dharmendra Pradhan ; Tourism and Culture Minister of Govt. of Orissa Sh. Ashok Chandra Panda, and Chief Secretary of Orissa were among those present at the meeting.
