The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) and ICFAI Business School (IBS) is looking at setting up two more ICFAI campuses and nine more ICFAI universities in India by the end of next fiscal .
The institute at present has nineteen ICFAI campuses and six universities in the country.
Speaking on the sidelines of a press conference in Kolkata, K V Iyer, ICFAI International Division-Head, said " our objective is to have universities in each and every state in India and to widen our network both domestically and internationally. We plan to set up two more ICFAI campuses and nine more universities by 2009-2010 in India."
The institute was not mulling any fee hike at present, said Iyer.
In a bid to increase its international network, the institute is also planning increase up six more international campus .
IBS International which is the international arm of IBS recently inaugurated four international campuses in Adelaide in Australia, Luton in United Kingdom, Neuchatel in Switzerland and Ras Al Khaimah in United Arab Emirates. It plans to set up similar IBS International campuses in Europe, America, Australia and three more countries by the end of 2010.
Although the current recession has had an impact on the placement of top B-schools in India and IIMs in India, placement scenario in IBS campuses across the country had been maintained at near almost last year's level, Iyer pointed out.
