CBA has been conceptualised and developed by ISB. The programme has taken inputs from academicians as well as business leaders from companies such as Bank of America, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, MuSigma, Shoppers Stop, Everyday Health Inc and Tech Mahindra.
Deepak Chandra, deputy dean of ISB, said, "There is an explosion in the data being generated in practically every sphere of business. With greater adoption of digital technologies, this is bound to grow exponentially. However, there is a dearth of available talent to help organisations make sense of this data deluge. CBA help create professionals who in turn can help their organisations derive value with the power of analytics."
According to Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, promoter of Biocon Foundation, this course will develop high-quality business analytics, which will be a great value addition to the industry.
CBA is a one-year, part-time programme with 430 contact hours. It will be in a hybrid format, with 66 per cent of the learning being classroom-based and 34 per cent online. The first class comprising 104 students commenced recently at ISB's Hyderabad campus.
The course requires participants to stay on campus for a five-day schedule of classroom learning every alternate month. The schedule will include classroom learning, workshops, group projects and guest speakers from industry.
