This year, a handful of big business houses joined the e-commerce race and mobile app-based hyper-local services such as BigBasket, Practo and UrbanClap saw a surge. According to the latest survey, Flipkart's Big Billion Day was the top grossing online shopping festival, while Amazon.in wore the crown of the most popular e-commerce site. Cashbacks and deals were the key factors that drove shoppers to buy online.
