IBS Hyderabad, a constituent of ICFAI Foundation offering MBA programme, is seeing a revival in placements. The demand is particularly from the banking and financial sector, according to IBS director DS Rao.
The placements from the IT companies are yet to begin as they have postponed their recruitments following the suggestion from Nasscom. “Though there is no increase in the salary, the response from the companies in recruiting students is good,” he said adding about 90 students had found placements so far. The average salary offered is Rs 5.5 lakh per annum. The present batch has 820 students.
About 55,000 students are expected to take the admission test in December for the two-year course next academic year. The fee for the course is Rs 9.5 lakh, he said.
