Asian markets end weak

The Asian indices dipped in the day's trades.

The Hang Seng slipped 264 points to 21,347 and the Nikkei lost 13 points to 10,163.

The Shanghai Composite dropped 76 points to 3179 and the Seoul Composite weakened by 16 points at 1647.

Straits Times closed flat at 2814.

Taiwan Weighted was the only exception, adding 124 points at 7775.

Asian markets have opened mixed this morning on cues from US peers.

The Hang Seng has slipped 25 points to 21,587. The Nikkei has added 44 points to 10,221.

The Shanghai Composite has dropped 19 points ti 3,236.

The Seoul Composite and the STraits Times are flat.
