Austral said today there were no bogus entries in its account books and it would represent its case to Sebi. “The Income tax search conducted in June is the normal search which (is) conducted in the normal course. We (have) submitted our reply and I-T department has yet to revert,” Austral Coke’s General Manager (Finance), Manoj Sand, said later in a statement. “Even SEBI has asked us to appear on September 9 to represent our case. There are no such bogus entry in our books and we shall (be) representing the same, along with the relevant supporting (papers) to the required authority.” Adding, “We are taking legal opinion regarding Sebi’s order but it is all done by some of our good friends and competitors.”
