Bombay Stock Exchange's (BSE) derivatives trading volume touched the Rs 1,933.98 crore-mark today.
The volume of derivatives trading touched Rs 1,933.98 crore with 80,749 total contracts traded on Thursday, the country's leading bourse said in a statement here.
The Index futures registered Rs 1,444.06-crore turnover with 61,168 contracts traded on the BSE today. Among others, Index Option (call) registered a turnover of Rs 326.34 crore, Index Option (put) Rs 47.63 crore and equity future Rs 115.96 crore, it added.
The exchange launched market-making scheme, known as the Liquidity Enhancement Incentive Programmes, or LEIPs, in September with an expectation that it would improve liquidity and benefit the retail stock market investors.
As many as 115 broker-members participated in derivatives trading on Thursday, the release said.
