Shares of Elecon Engineering Company surged 7% to Rs 56.50 on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the company said that it has received fresh order from Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers.
The order is for supply of marine gearboxes aggregating worth Rs 225 crore, the company said in a release.
The stock opened at Rs 54.80 and touched a high of Rs 56.80. At 11am, over 472,000 shares were traded on both the stock exchanges.
