Gail Keen To Pick Stake In Ongc Videsh

Natural gas marketing major Gas Authority of India (GAIL) is keen to pick up a stake in ONGC Videsh (OVL), the overseas arm of exploration and production company Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).

GAIL has already written to the ministry of petroleum and natural gas seeking permission to buy into OVL. GAIL has also written to ONGC in this regard. ONGC chairman Subir Raha could not be contacted.
