Gur chakku prices rose by Rs 50 per quintal in the national capital today following fresh buying support amid tight stocks position.

Gur pedi prices in Muradnagar remained in keen demand on paucity of stocks.

Marketmen said pick up in demand and restricted supply, mainly attributed the rise in gur chakku and pedi.

In Delhi, gur chakku improved by Rs 50 to Rs 2,350-2,400 instead of Rs 2,300-2,350 per quintal. 

At Muzzafarnagar, gur chakku also remained in keen demand on less arrivals and moved up from Rs 2,125-2,300 to finish at Rs 2,200-2,325 per quintal, showing a net gains of Rs 75 per quintal.

Turning to Muradnagar, gur pedi prices hardened from Rs 2,100-2,175 to close at Rs 2,150-2,200 per quintal.

In Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,150-2,200 and Dhaya Rs 2,175-2,225
