Gur prices turned weak by Rs 50 per quintal in the national capital today following fresh supply, amid reduced offtake.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur prices also fell by Rs 75 per quintal on slackness in demand.
Market analysts said increased supply at higher levels mainly caused the downfall in prices.
In Delhi, gur chakku and pedi prices lost by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,300-2,350 and Rs 2,400-2,450 per quintal, respectively.
At Muzaffarnagar, gur chakku eased by Rs 50 to Rs 1,950-2,000 per quintal.
In Muradnagar, gur pedi and dhayya traded lower by Rs 75 each to settle at Rs 2,100-2,150 per quintal each.
Following were today's quotations per quintal:
Chakku Rs 2,300-2,350, pedi Rs 2,400-2,450, Dhayya Rs 2,450-2,500, and Shakkar Rs 2,550-2,600.
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,875-2,000, chakku Rs 2,050-2,250 and Khurpa Rs 1,950-2,000.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,100-2,150 and Dhaya Rs 2,100-2,150.
