The wholesale gur prices firmed up in the national capital today following less arrivals amid better offtake and registered gains upto Rs 50 per quintal.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur market also ended higher on paucity of stocks and advanced by upto Rs 100 per quintal.
In Delhi, gur chakku and pedi gained by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,250-2,300 and Rs 2,450-2,500 per quintal, respectively. Gur shakkar also moved up by Rs 50 to Rs 2,600-2,700 from Rs 2,600-2,650 per quintal.
At Muzaffarnagar, gur raskat rose from Rs 1,825-1,900 to Rs 1,875-1,975, revealing gains of Rs 75 per quintal on brisk demand from beer-making industries.
Gur chakku and khurpa prices also traded higher from Rs 1,950-2,200 and Rs 1,950-2,000 to close at Rs 2,050-2,250 and Rs 2,000-2,050 per quintal, respectively.
Turning to Muradnagar gur pedi and dhayya ended higher at Rs 2,150-2,250 and Rs 2,300-2,350 instead of Rs 2,150-2,200 and Rs 2,200-2,250 per quintal, respectively.
